The Beginning

On April 28th at around 3 pm EST, I bought these gorgous A.P.C. Rescue Jeans at the A.P.C. store on 131 Mercer Street New York, New York. They are unwashed, indigo dyed japanese selvege jeans constructed in Macau.

This blog will be dedicated to the development of my jeans. With unwashed indigo denimn, everyday wear and tear will remove some of the indigo creating distressing. Many jean makes do this artifically, but since I am using unwashed denim, the marks on my jeans natual and where the should be (because I am making them myself). Also, not washing the jeans for extended periods of time maximizes the contrast of the abrasion created by every day wearing, so these babys will not see water for over six (6) months.

Size: They are marked size 29, but the actual waist measurement is 32
Fit: Tight (8 on a scale of 1-10, 5 being perfectly fitted)
Feel: Very smooth, but with bumps of unprocessed cotton in them
Color: Dark Indigo
Texture: Cardboard-like, moderatly uncomforatable
Abrasion: None
